What Is Clinical Group Exercise?

Small, structured exercise groups designed and delivered by accredited exercise physiologists — not personal trainers.

Clinical Group Exercise at Fortify Movement & Health is a supervised rehabilitation model that brings together the efficiency of group participation with the rigour of clinical exercise prescription. Unlike a gym class or general fitness session, each program is built within an allied health framework — meaning every exercise decision is informed by your clinical profile and treatment goals.

This is not a drop-in fitness class. It is a structured, goal-directed program for people managing chronic pain, chronic disease, disability, or neurological conditions — delivered by clinicians who understand the complexity of those presentations.

Delivered by Accredited Exercise Physiologists

Every session is designed and supervised by an ESSA-accredited Exercise Physiologist — clinicians trained to manage complex health conditions, not gym instructors.

Goal-Directed & Individually Scoped

Before joining a group program, each participant undergoes a clinical assessment. Exercise selection, load, and progression are calibrated to your specific diagnosis, capacity, and goals.

Small Groups, High Clinical Attention

Groups are intentionally kept small so each participant receives meaningful clinical oversight throughout the session — not just a warm welcome at the door.

Evidence-Based Program Design

Programs are grounded in current clinical exercise science research. Protocols are regularly reviewed and updated to reflect best-practice guidelines for chronic condition management and rehabilitation.
