About the Program

What Is the Neuro Motion Program?

Neuro Motion is a structured, evidence-based program created for neurodivergent and/or hypermobile teens aged 13 to 17. Delivered through guided small-group classes, it supports young people's physical and mental wellbeing across three connected areas — functional movement, psychology, and nutrition — in an environment built to be inclusive, affirming, and paced for the way each teen thinks, feels, and moves.

Rather than adapting a general fitness or wellbeing class on the fly, Neuro Motion is purpose-built. The structure, language, pacing, and group sizes are all designed around neurodivergent and hypermobile teens — giving them a genuinely supportive space to build skills, confidence, and connection.

Program Structure

Our 6-Week Program

Neuro Motion is a 6-week, evidence-based program that includes 4 sessions per week:

1 × Psychology (DBT) session

2 × Exercise sessions

1 × Dietitian session

Three pillars — movement, psychology, and nutrition — working together to support the whole young person.

How We Work

The Three Pillars

Neuro Motion is built on three interconnected pillars that address the whole person — mind, body, and nourishment — in a format that respects neurodivergent ways of being.

1

Neuro-Affirming Group DBT Skills

Guided group sessions help each teen build a neuro-affirming Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) toolkit, tailored to support:

  • Everyday wellbeing
  • Emotional regulation
  • Neurodivergence-aware mindfulness
  • Managing sensory needs
  • Distress tolerance and reframing
2

Health & Movement Group Exercise

Led by accredited exercise scientists, these sessions use movement-based strategies to support self-regulation:

  • Two weekly sessions held before school
  • Small groups capped at 4 teens
  • Starting the day with movement can support self-regulation and improve focus
3

Neuro-Affirming Nutrition

Group dietetics sessions provide nutrition tailored to sensory needs, supporting food freedom through a personalised approach:

  • Food freedom
  • Nourish to move and learn
  • Celebrating authenticity
  • Personal meal-planning skills

Who Neuro Motion Supports

By supporting physical and mental wellbeing together, the program helps teens build practical skills for movement, emotional regulation, and nutrition — confidence that carries into everyday life.
